Install & Configure Active Directory
Windows Server 2019 Active Directory install. This section describes step-by-step install of active directory on Windows Server 2019. Active Directory is a directory management system designed to share and share resources between windows server and windows client.
Active Directory network identity management tool. It provides centralized management by providing various restrictions on windows clients with group policy tool on Active Directory. You can download the trial version of Windows Server 2019 via the link. Download Trail Windows Serve 2019
Install Active Directory
First of all, the IP address of the server must be defined statically.
Start – Run – Control
Panel – Network and Internet – Network and Sharing Center, click to Change adapter settings. Right Click Ethernet interface, select Properties . Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click to properties.
Select Use the following IP address , enter ip adress click to OK button.
Install the lastest Windows Server 2019 update from Start – Settings – Update & Security.
Restart the server after Windows update.
Change Computer Name
Change the server computer name. Start – Run – Control Panel – System and Security – System or Click Start – Search “This PC” right click and properties.
Change Settings is click on the screen that opens. Click Change . Set Computer Name after OK. Rebout Windows Server 2019.
Turn Of Windows Defender Firewall
Start – Run – Control
Panel – System
Security – Windows
Firewall – Customize
Select Private network settings “Turn off Windows Defender Firewall” and
Public network settings “Turn off Windows Defender Firewall”
On Command Prompt (Cmd)
Turn Off Windows Defender Firewall
NetSh Advfirewall set allprofiles state off
Turn On Windows Defender Firewall
NetSh Advfirewall set allprofiles state on
Check to status Windows Defender Firewall
Netsh Advfirewall show allprofiles
Start – Server Manager
Click to “Add Roles and features”
Click to Next.
Click the next button without making any changes. Since role setup will be performed on the existing server, this option will be processed.
Click the next button without making any changes.
Active Directory Domain Services is selected on the Select Roles screen and click Add Features. As a first step, you will start to install Active Directory domian services.
Click Next at the features screen.
Click “Promote this server to a domain controller“
“Add a new forest” is selected because we will install a new domain. Root Domain Name is the domain name that you create. After click Next.
Since it is a new domain, do not perform any operation on the existing Forest functional level and domain functional level. Windows Server 2016 is selected as the most current version.
Do not make any changes to the specify domain controller capabilities options. Type the Directory Services Restore Mode password. When a restore operation is required on the Active Directory, a restore operation is performed with this password.
This section contains Active Directory database, log, sysvol folder locations. I suggest you do not make any changes on the directories. Keep it this way by default.
You can use this script to automatically install active directory. Click Next

After All prerequisite check passed successfully, it means that all requirements have come to the final stage installation. Click Install button.
